While Nik West was working on her first album, Just In The Nik Of Time, Dave Stewart of Eurythmics became acquainted with the young electric bass prodigy’s work and fell in love with her soulful voice. Within days, she was performing with Stewart in Los Angeles and working with Grammy-winning songwriter-producer Glen Ballard. At only 24 years of age, West has already collaborated with such legendary names as Prince, Stevie Wonder, John Mayer and Macy Gray. Her rendition of popular hits such as AC/DC’s Back In Black, Cotton Candy Pt. 1, and Say Something, have become viral hits worldwide.
Explosive, colourful, vibrant, dazzling – these are just some words that can be used to describe West. Described by Bootsy Collins as “definitely bringing back the funk groovement”, this is one future super star you won’t want to miss on Saturday 1st April at @#SingJazz2017!
